Many churches are doing faithful ministry—preaching the Word, building community, and caring for people well. And yet, some people still seem to struggle to grow, engage, or remain connected.

Not because they don’t care.
But because trauma is shaping how they experience truth, relationships, and the life of the church.

Good intentions matter. But on their own, they are not enough.

Most churches don’t lack compassion. They lack a clear framework. And without one, it’s easy to unintentionally do more harm than good.

Building a trauma-informed ministry requires more than compassion. It involves practical steps that shape leadership, culture, and ministry practices over time.

This practical evening seminar is designed to help pastors, ministry leaders, and teams move beyond awareness and think clearly about what that work can look like in their own setting.

Together, we will explore the kinds of changes that help ministries respond with greater wisdom, compassion, and clarity—not just in isolated moments of care, but in the overall life and culture of the church.

You will leave with a clearer framework for shaping your ministry in ways that better serve people impacted by trauma.

This seminar is designed for pastors and ministry leaders, as well as those who help shape or carry out ministry in specific areas of the church—such as children’s or youth ministry, small groups, counseling, deacon ministry, care teams, or other specialized ministries.

f possible, attending with one or two others from your church or ministry team can help you begin thinking together about what this could look like in your context.
